In case of a death in your family where you would like to use WIC funeral services, please follow below steps:

Call WIC Funeral team immediately; you can find contact numbers below to call. Our funeral coordinator(s) will walk you through the entire process including washing (Ghusl), Shrouding (Kafan), and Prayers (Namaz-E-Janazah) timings.

In order to get a head start, please have a responsible person in the family fill out the WIC Funeral form.

Please work with the responsible party to arrange a work death certificate. If you don't know what that is, WIC funeral coordinator will walk you through that.

You will need to book a plot in the cemetery and agree on a burial time. WIC utilizes Hope Cemetery that has a separate Muslim section for Muslim burials. Please call them ASAP to book a plot (approx. cost of a plot in Hope Cemetery Muslim burial site is about $1500; there is a separate charge for opening/closing the grave of about ~$2,000). For exact pricing, please contact Hope Cemetery, their contact info is below.
NOTE: In addition to the Cemetery Costs, the cost of WIC funeral service will be about $1200*. This cost is subsidized due to the efforts of community volunteers helping Fi-Sabilillah. WIC Masjid does not make a profit from the Funeral Services / Janazah Assistance Service. WIC provides Funeral Services/ Janazah Assistance Free of Charge. However, this cost is to cover expenses for third-party services such as transportation and any costs incurred by the WIC Funeral Service for washing and shrouding.
